Kelly Mahoney
Head Pastor

Kelly Mahoney grew up on a small farm near Kimball, SD, the youngest of 6 children. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1990, and South Dakota State University in 1996. God got a hold of his life during his time in college, and his life dreams of building things as a mechanical engineer turned into a calling to build people instead. Kelly worked with youth from 1996-2005, at which point he headed to Virginia to attend Liberty Theological Seminary. After graduating with his Masters of Divinity in 2008, Kelly spent two years serving in Fargo ND, before making his way to Hope Community in 2010 as an associate pastor of small groups and discipleship, becoming head pastor shortly thereafter. He is passionate about discipling people and seeking the Word of God together through small groups. Pastor Kelly met his wife, Cheryl, at college, they were married in 1999 and have 3 sons and 1 daughter.

Randy Ihnen
Elder

Randy was born and raised right here in Pope County. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1980. He attended Alexandria Technical College where he graduated from the Farm Equipment Mechanics course in 1982. He spent the next two years working as a mechanic and a truck driver. He joined the family farm operation in 1984 with his father. He now owns and operates the family farm southeast of Lowry. Randy married his wife Patti in 1986. They have been blessed with 3 children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law and 8 grandchildren.

Neil Haynes
Elder

In August 1956 Neil was born in Southern California From there he moved to Colorado and graduated from high school in Wisconsin. He was born spiritually while attending college in California in 1975. The Gideon New Testament he received on the Berkeley campus during Christmas break directed him to a major lifestyle change. This resulted in him spending the next 10 years living in two different Christian communities in California and Minnesota.He married Toni in 1980 and they had four children. They moved to Glenwood in 1987 where Neil started a window cleaning business. He enjoys being involved in Hope Community Church and serves in a variety of roles. He is also an avid gardener.

Bruce Geiser
Elder

Bruce grew up on a dairy farm in Ottertail county by the little town of Bluffton and graduated from Wadena High School in 1983. He attended Alexandria Technical College and graduated from the Machine Tool Technology program. He has been employed at ITW Heartland for 25 years . Bruce and his wife Michele were married in 1988 and have 4 children. They started attending Hope Community Church in 2004.

Vickie Anderson
Administrative Assistant

Vickie Anderson started as part-time Administrative Assistant in December 2011. She and her husband, Randy, have been involved with Hope Community since the beginning. Vickie has volunteered in Children’s Ministries, Small Group Ministries, and Building Maintenance. She also helps manage the 110 cow/calf herd that they own. Vickie graduated from the University of MN, Twin Cities and married Randy in 1987. They have 3 adult children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and 2 grandsons.

Caitlyn Jorgenson
Worship Ministry Assistant

Caitlyn has been involved with church ministries since she was in early elementary school and was invited to sing with her parents on the worship team. Now, as Worship Ministry Assistant for Hope Community Church, she is responsible for scheduling and coordinating worship volunteers, and works with the website/app & newsletter. She serves regularly on the worship & production teams. In 2010 Caitlyn was married to her husband, Zach, and they have been blessed by the addition of  four daughters to their family.
